Poverty hits Senzo Meyiwa’s daughter…Senzo’s ghost terrorises Chicco Twala’s son

RETIRED soccer player Brilliant Khuzwayo has failed his dead friend’s daughter.

In January, he promised to take care of Senzo Meyiwa’s daughter Namhla (14) but he has not come through for her.

Speaking to Daily Sun earlier this year, Namhla said life was difficult without her father.

“I sometimes go to school without any food in my lunch box. My grandmother and uncle try but it sometimes becomes too difficult for them.”

After the article was published, Brilliant came forward and told the SunTeam he would help Namhla.

He asked her to draw up a list of things she needed for school.

Speaking to the SunTeam this week in the presence of her gogo Ntombifuthi, Namhla said: “I was very happy when he asked me to draw up the list. I immediately made it and forwarded it to my uncle Sfiso. I asked for roll-up crayons, a pencil case, flip files, plastic covers, pens, sellotape and lead pencils. The items were needed in the first week of February but I never received them. Fortunately, I received help from other Good Samaritans and bought the items.”

The SunTeam was in constant contact with Brilliant to check if he was keeping his promises but he kept making excuses. Last month, he said he was on holiday.

He later said Namhla’s list was not clear. On another occasion, he said he needed to meet with Namhla’s uncle Sfiso.

Sfiso said he forwarded the list to Brilliant and the meeting he was speaking about had nothing to do with his promise.

Ntombifuthi said they had really hoped Brilliant would help Namhla.

“People saw a good side of him and he was praised all over but in reality, he raised our hopes for nothing,” she said.

Daily Sun tried numerous times to call Brilliant but his phone rang unanswered, and he had not responded to text messages by the time of going to print.

Several organisations have previously promised to take care of Meyiwa’s daughter, these include the South African National Civics Organisation and Red Farms have come forward to help Senzo Meyiwa’s daughter.

At some point, Sanco contributed R1 500 to pay for Namhla’s stationery.

This comes after former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo promised to take care of Namhla.

Sanco and Red Farms once contacted Daily Sun and promised to take care of Namhla’s needs for the next 10 years, in appreciation of what Brilliant did.

Chris Malematja from Sanco in Gauteng said: “Senzo was a national icon and therefore, we couldn’t wait or postpone his daughter’s education.

“We have decided to take Namhla into our school uniform programme. She will receive a uniform, shoes and learning materials along with pupils from 35 schools.”

Meanwhile, many South Africans believe Longwe Twala – music producer Chicco Twala’s son – directly took part in killing Senzo Meyiwa. He has been accused countless times of being the one who pulled the trigger – an allegation he strongly disputes.

Hours after former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates captain Senzo Meyiwa was killed, his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo and her sister Zandile allegedly approached a nearby sangoma and asked for ritual cleansing.

Days later, the sisters’ mother, Gladness, allegedly also drove to the same sangoma’s house accompanied by Zandile and her then boyfriend Longwe Twala (music producer, Chicco Twala’s son), who is said to have told the traditional healer that he “couldn’t sleep at night because a dead person was strangling him”.

It is widely believed that the dead person he was referring to was reportedly Senzo Meyiwa’s ghost.

The sangoma, in her affidavit dated January 20, 2015, claims she was reluctant to perform any rituals on Twala without his parents’ consent, but Gladness convinced her that “nobody wants to help her (Gladness) except me”.

The sangoma, in her affidavit, further revealed that:

Kelly Khumalo returned with a goat in January 2015 for another cleansing ceremony because things weren’t going well with her; The singer’s two children were also subjected to ritual cleansing;

She told Longwe, as she was cleansing him, that the shadow of a dead person was following him, and he responded by saying, “the dead person is even strangling him and he doesn’t sleep at night”.

AKA’s Crowd Surfing Goes Wrong..What is Super Mega doing ?The Megacy was clearly not on formation after their lord threw himself onto them!

AKA must have overestimated the love (and support) that his fans have for him. This was after they didn’t quite catch him, as he crowd surfed during his performance, in Rustenburg, North West.

Crowd surfing is when a musician (confidently) dives into a crowd – with the hopes of being caught by their fans. This is a world wide phenomenon and has been in existence for eons!

The likes of Beyonce Knowles – Carter and Bruno Mars have treated their fans to such unforgettable experiences during their respective concerts. In return, their fans show nothing but love!

In a video that is making the rounds on social media, AKA can be seen diving into the crowd – only to receive quite a lukewarm reception, as some members of the crowd just looked at him land on the ground! Yhu an entire Supa Mega on the floor? What a *moemish*!

Brilliant Khuzwayo “No more unemployed”

Following his retirement from the game earlier this year, former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo has finally found a job. Check it out!

Khuzwayo, who has a wicked sense of humor, took to Instagram to divulge the news.

The KZN-born star, who took part in last weekend’s Soweto Derby’s half-time festivities, revealed that he has taken an interest in spaza shops.

“Spaza shops guys. I’m no more unemployed. #TheBrilliantOne,” he captioned the post.

Interesting to note is that the Brilliant One’s outfit, which consisted of Gucci sneakers, retails for around R10 000.

The post sparked quite the reaction but social media users were left divided. Some applauded him for his great spirit while others said he should not joke about the way people make a living.

This was what Lady Zamar recently told the SunTeam after causing a stir on Twitter.

Last Tuesday, she posted a series of tweets sharing her experience with abuse and sexual assault in a past relationship. Although she shared a lot of details, she didn’t give the person’s name and said she was not accusing anyone.

Speaking to Daily Sun, she said: “I said what I said and it is what I experienced. I put it up on Twitter and there’s nothing more to it. I’m not accusing anyone. I did not mean to hurt anyone or attack anyone’s name. Otherwise, I appreciate the support I received.

“I believe it’s important to understand abuse, accept it and make peace with it. If you want to go further with it, it’s entirely your decision.”

Lady Zamar said she posted the tweets because a lot of women experienced abuse every day. “Too many women have been victimised and I want them to understand it’s not their fault,” she said.

“My purpose is to help young girls understand abuse and fight it head on. I’ve been doing these motivational talks for longer than I’ve been a musician,” she said.

“My message is that you should not allow anyone to take away your identity. No one should label you or rewrite your story and define your emotions.”

(Says Thuli Phongolo) An artist offered me R100k to act like we’re dating

Former Generations: The Legacy actress Thuli Phongolo has lifted the lid on a publicity stunt that she was supposed to be part of, telling fans she was offered some serious coins to “be in a relationship” with another celeb.

The actress took to Twitter on Wednesday to drop the bombshell, explaining that she was approached by an artist to act like she was dating him.

It was clearly meant to be a publicity stunt because the dude approached her just before he was set to drop an album.

“My team and I have heard it all,” she added.

Though she didn’t spill who the artist was, Thuli’s comments were soon filled with speculation and hilarious reaction.

The star left Generations last year and has been collecting coins as a DJ since.

“Since I have started DJing, things have been going well. I am going to have my mixes on one of the stations here and of course I have been working with (shoe brand) Footwork. There are upcoming roles where you will see me in a different light, not as a child anymore, and I hope fans will like that and can relate,” she told Trending SA at the time.

Yanga Sobetwa reveals why she has decided not to write matric exams : IdolsSA season 14 winner

Idols SA season 14 winner Yanga will not be writing her matric exams with the class of 2019 because of her immensely busy schedule.

Following reports that she “regrets not writing her matric exams this year”, Yanga took to her Twitter account to clarify that she never said or implied that she has any regrets about putting her studies on hold.

Speaking to DRUM, Yanga explained that she was doing her matric this year at Rhodes High school and for the first six months this year she wrote two or three examinations, but she was under immense pressure because she was also recording her album.

“I was recording my album Promised Land, doing PR tours, gigs and traveling and that demanded a lot, so I couldn’t be 100% productive on all of those things including school work,” she said.

“That is why my parents and teachers recommended that I separate my subjects, do three subjects next year in June and the rest in December 2020.”

The young Idols star said she got the support she needed from her high school and they had an arrangement on how she would juggle her career with her schoolwork.

“My teachers sent me my assignments and my responsibility was to do them. The only problem was that some of them needed me to be physically at school and I missed out on class tests which were going to contribute to my final marks.”

Since she dropped her album in May this year the 18-year-old told DRUM that her album hit number one on the iTunes charts and that right now, they are on the way to selling 10 000 copies before the end of the year.

Yanga also explained how the she felt about being trolled on social media following the reports about her studies.

“To be honest I laughed when I saw the article, I wasn’t fazed at all. I wasn’t going to say anything but for the sake of my supporters I had to clear the air. I am very young and I believe respect is earned. The newspaper headline said that I regret taking a break from my matric, which I never did, it was a decision that was taken by my parents and teachers for my mental well-being.”

Actor SK Khoza has a new project up his sleeve.

As a petition to bring SK Khoza back toThe Queen goes viral, actor SK Khoza has responded to the calls.

The petition, started by a fan, demanded that Ferguson Films reconsider the contract termination of Shaka, also known as Sthembiso Khoza. And if the production company cannot do that, at least give him an honourable send-off after all the years that he has graced our screens.

The signature gathered more than 5,000 signatures by Tuesday and doubled overnight.

As the calls for him to return grew louder and louder, SK took to Twitter to thank fans.

Sadly, he ruled out a return to The Queen but did promise to be back on screens soon.

“I’m about to shoot something else so see you soon,” he wrote.

“SK has been a great contributor to the show, and remains on Ferguson Films top list of actors. We wish him the very best in his future endeavours, and have no doubt that he will continue to inspire as one of the most talented young actors in the country,” the statement read.

(Singer Tamara Dey) wants R4.5m In child support from Yvonne Chaka Chaka’s son

(Singer Tamara Dey) wants R4.5m In child support from Yvonne Chaka Chaka’s son

Popular singer Tamara Dey is demanding a total of almost R4.5 million in maintenance from her baby daddy. An the baby daddy, whose name she has been hiding like a toupee, is none other than Yvonne Chaka Chaka’s son, Mninginisi Nkhavi Mhinga.

Tamara Dey, born Nathalie Atzeni, dragged Mhinga to the Randburg Magistrate’s courts demanding he increase the R10 000 papgeld he has been paying towards the upbringing of their 20-month old child to a whooping R20,000 per month.

If the court answes her prayers, it will mean Mhinga will pay a total of R240,000 per year and will have payed R4,320 000 by the time the child reaches maturity.
According to the court paper which Sunday World has seen, Tamara Dey said the amount she was demanding was necessary because Mhinga’s current contribution was insufficient to cover the child’s monthly expenses.

Mhinga who s now plying his trade in Paris, France has filed a responding affidavit opposing the quantum Tamara Dey is praying for. Mhinga, who works for a sports shop in the uranium-rich country would have none of it.

He said as the father, he constantly spent time with the child – including some weekends at his parent’ house in Bryanston, Joburg before being sent to France.

He sad Tamara Dey would send him a monthly list of the child – including child’s expenses which totaled at least R10,000 and he would pay without dispute.

“The applicant and i would ordinarily share the total costs based on the minor child’s monthly needs and deliver them to the house and use that time to visit the minor child”, he said.

Mhinga said in addition to his contribution, he also paid the child’s medical aid. He said when he was transferred from Joburg to France, he and the singer agreed he would continue to contribute the same amount towards the child’s upbringing.

He said he suspected the extra funds Tamara Dey wanted him to pay were for her personal benefits as they were not proportionate to the child’s needs/

The two appear in court on January 28 next year, where they will square off over the issue.

Tamara Dey declined to comment.
” Aaah, no comment at this moment, sorry darling, bye,” she said.

Attempts to get comment from Mhinga also drew a blank.

Yvonne Chaka Chaka said she was baffled by Tamara’s demands as they ad been looking after the child.

“She and the child are always here at my house. We always buy everything that the child needs, My husband does everything that we have to do as the child’s grandparents, We have not neglected the child, We always see the child because the child is part of our family,” She said.
